Electricity company gains tools for better procurement

A major UK regional electricity company needed to establish an industry-leading procurement function, and to ensure that the change was sustainable.

All training and development was focused on the electricity industry, enabling purchasing personnel to rapidly assimilate new concepts and techniques that were relevant to them.

ADR International designed and managed a series of recruitment and assessment events including multi-candidate assessment centres, case study exercises and candidate interviewing.

We also provided specialist category support including the application of robust purchasing principles to marketing, corporate branding and creative development, and developed a sourcing strategy for new metering technology.

The project resulted in significant cost reductions and additional benefits and service enhancements. It continued over several years including the period after the client was acquired.
