LG Address Sourcing Skill Gaps
LG, the fourth-largest chaebol in South Korea manufacturing electronics, chemicals, and telecom equipment identified inconsistencies in their approach to strategic sourcing, together with numerous skills gaps across their sourcing team of 2000+ people in 80 different countries.
To address this situation LG built a Procurement Academy using ADR’s OPRA e-learning procurement training modules using the ADR learning management system (LMS). To support LG’s domestic sourcing team, ADR translated the e-learning modules into Korean, with the rest of the LG team using the standard English version.
Since its launch OPRA take up has been significant with positive feedback. LG management anticipate a significant return on their investment.
